If you move from one state to another, you must delete your name from the old constituency (Form 7) and register fresh in the new one (Form 6).

Q.How to vote if I'm away from Nagaland on election day?

If you are a government or defence service voter, you can vote by postal ballot โ€” apply through your employer. For all other voters, you must physically be present at your designated polling booth in Nagaland to vote โ€” there is no proxy or online voting option. Plan ahead: many employers in India allow employees to take the day off on election day under the Negotiable Instruments Act. If you are a migrant worker registered in Nagaland, you must return to your home booth to vote.
